Mektorrin is the largest of the four moons that cross Western Glashia's night sky. It appears as a massive red sphere only once every 22 years, and then for only 2 days and nights. During this time, tremendous celebrations are abound throughout Western Glashia, primarily within the temples devoted to Mektorrin, also considered to be Lord of the Night Sky, God of the Lands, Guardian of the Greater Heavens, God of the First Moon*, and second in power only to Dirion, Lord of the Gods of the Greater and Lesser Heavens.

It has been said through bard's tales and folklore that Mektorrin has appeared to a few Mnoethen and Fpathen, and even fewer Pseithen, on the rarest of occasions, always bringing news of some great magical event. It has not been said, however, exactly what Mektorrin has looked like during these divine visions. Some believe he appears as a muscular young man dressed in a suit of reddish plate mail armor and riding in a fiery chariot, led by a team of fire-red war horses. Other tell of a much older, yet still muscular man, draped in an orange and red robe; a globe of white brilliance in his right hand representing the powers of magicians and wizards, and a globe of blue brilliance in his left hand representing the powers of priests and clerics. In either case, Mektorrin is one of the twelve Greater Gods of the Heavens.

The Fpathen utilize Mektorrin in the names of their kin, as in "Telleos of the First Moon," where Telleos would be from a very powerful and highly respected family, and Mektorrin would be considered the First Moon because of its size. The moons, then, would fall into line with the other natural, godly-given features worshipped by the Fpathen, and Telleos of the First Moon would then be considered of a higher rank as, for example, Bertan of the Mountain's Peak, who is ranked higher than Kellok of the River's Bend, who is ranked higher than Yessinich of the Flower, and so on. The Fpathen's system of social ranking goes back for thousands of years and is considered extremely confusing in the eyes of the non-elvish races. It is not understood by any other elvish race save the Mnoethen.

Kallissa is the second largest of Western Glashia's four moons, appearing for six to seven days and nights every 14 years. Although not regarded as highly as Mektorrin by magicians and priests, Kallissa is worshipped and honored by foresters and rangers throughout the realms, for she is one of the twelve Greater Gods of the Heavens and the Goddess of the Forests and All Who Dwell*. Temples dedicated to her can be found throughout the Fpathen nation of Jahhne, as this elvish race is sometimes called the Children of Kallissa.

As is the same with Mektorrin, no one is sure exactly what Kallissa looks like, although all agree that she is agile and swift, as well as the truest shot with any bow, making her the Goddess of Archery* as well. It has been said that Kallissa appears as a Fpathen ranger, dressed in soft greenish-gray leather, with news on the well being of the forests and wooded areas of the lands. Upon her departure, Kallissa is said to always leave a gift for her devoted followers - an enchanted bow or score of arrows.

The Fpathen utilize Kallissa in the names of their kin in much the same way they use Mektorrin, as in "Lorilla of the Second Moon," where Lorilla would be from a powerful and respected family within the Fpathen community, and Kallissa would be considered the Second Moon because of its size compared to Mektorrin.

Terranna and Jaterran are of relatively the same size, although their compositions seem completely different. Terranna is covered in a soft blue and green haze, reminding numerous scholars of the green lands of Western Glashia and the blue waters surrounding it. Thus, Terranna has found worshippers in the druids, rangers, and some fighters of the realms. Within the Heavens, he is a Lesser God and considered to be the God of Nature, the God of Music and Poetry, and the God of Swords*. The manifestation of Terranna has never been scribed, although some believe him to have the appearance of his father, Mektorrin, and the personality of his mother, Kallissa. Within the Fpathen community, Terranna, or the Third Moon, is not normally used by itself as the First and Second Moons are. Rather, Terranna is joined with Jaterran . . .

. . . Jaterran, unlike its celestial brother, is a simple gray ball spotted with craters, save for the "golden caps" at the northern and southern poles. They have not yet been explained except that, when the moon is full, those who have chosen the path of a cleric or priest state that they can feel a powerful pull from the moon. What the "pull" actually feels like, or what it is exactly, no one is sure. Despite this, Jaterran is one of the Lesser Gods worshipped by clerics, for he is the God of Holy Magic*.

As aforementioned, Terranna and Jaterran, or the Third and Fourth Moons, are not normally used by themselves in the naming of Fpathen kin, as the First Moon and Second Moon are. Rather, Jaterran and Terranna are joined, as in Hertinosh of the Twin Princes. This type of name is given only to those Fpathen that have shown themselves worthy of two professions. For example, Hertinosh of the Twin Princes is a proficient warrior as well as an honored and respected cleric of moderate power. Although a name using the First and Second Moons is held higher in rank than the Twin Princes, Fpathen have been known to alter the last half of their names in order to show off a newly acquired profession.

As in the aforementioned example, Hertinosh was of the Second Moon and a respected warrior among his people. Six years ago, Hertinosh decided to follow a more enlightened path while still holding close to his fighter's skills and instincts. Although his ranking as a cleric is considered low, Hertinosh has gained the use of some clerical spells while still maintaining all of the fighter's skills he had before. He went from worshipping Kallissa solely to praising the Twin Princes, and thus changed the last half of his name from the Second Moon to the Twin Princes. A decrease in rank in the eyes of some, while a boost in the eyes of others.
